Residents cry over sanitation problems. As part of the efforts to help residents in Ghanaian communities solve sanitation problems they are face with, The Zoomlion Ghana limited has take it upon themselves to ensure that it has been well manage and overcome.
The residents of Ngleshie Amanfrom in the Ga south municipality assembly cry over sanitation problems and complain of having issues with the Zoomlion cars that come to empty their bins weekly.
According to the views of the residents, they report that, the workers do not come regularly for the bins. Therefore they gather gather a lot of rubbish which makes the environment unclean and unhealthy for them.
Some residents explain why they can’t burn the rubbish. This is because it’s in the raining season hence they find it very difficult to burn the rubbish. Other residents also complain of their kids being home. Thus they play around all the time and these heap of rubbish are unhealthy for them.
Some give views on how the rubbers and cans float on surfaces and get gutters chock whenever it rains. It also causes air pollution which is very dangerous for the health of the residents. It is good to keep personal hygiene especially in this Corona virus era.
They also add that Zoomlion workers that are allocate there do not pick up the extra rubbish sacks that are beside the bins. But they come regularly for their money at the end of every month.
These residents cry for help and plead that they should do something about their situation to help them ensure a healthy and conducive environment.
