Women’s Knock-out Competition Set To Start On July 2

The National Women’s League Board has set the dates for the maiden edition of the knockout competition which will involve teams from all the 10 regions of Ghana.

The 32-team competition will begin on the weekend of July 2 and 3, 2016, with the teams in both zones locking horns to see who qualifies to play in the last 16.

The draw for the competition which was held on June 9 saw four Fixtures involving all top flight team, three of which are in the Southern Sector.

However, with two regions (Upper West and Eastern) yet to declare their representatives, it is likely Real Upper Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies will get walk over in the Round of 32 as the two were drawn against the representatives of the aforementioned regions.

Meanwhile, the women’s league which has ended its first round will bounce back on the weekend of June 18 and 19, 2016.
