The defensive midfielder for the Ghana National Team and also, who plays for the Spanish club Atletico Madrid, named footballer of the year at the maiden edition of the F360 Ghana Football Awards in Accra.
Thomas again was crowned Foreign-based footballer of the year at the F360 Awards which took place on the 8th of July 2018, Sunday night.
Partey was born in Odumase Krobo, He was a product of local Odometah FCs youth ranks. He signed a contract with Atletico Madrid in 2011, and and was subsequently moved to the reserves a year later.
On 10th March 2013, Thomas was called up to the main squad for the match against Real Sociedad.
He made his first team debut for Atletico Madrid on 28th November 2015. On 2nd January of the following year, he scored his first league goal for the club, netting the games only in a home success over Levante UD.
Thomas played in the UEFA champions league final against Real Madrid, replacing Koke in the 116th minute as his side lost on penalties.
He was called up for the first time to the Ghana National team manager Avram Grant, ahead of a 2017 Africa cup of nations qualification against Mauritius. He made his debut on 5th June, replacing Frank Acheampong for the final 11 minutes of a 2-0 away win that booked the Black Stars position in the finals.
