Students of New Juaben Senior High School have encoutered some attack by spirit last Monday.It was rumoured that this attack has caused a disease outbreak in the school.
Speaking to the Ghana Education Service Personal Relation Officer-Eastern region,Mr Eric Asiedu Acheampong confirmed that,there is no record of outbreak of any disease in the school but the problem was a psycological attack “it is believed that it was a psycological attack….There has being no outbreak of disease or any food poisonning or any health problem…it is only a psycological problem”.
He added that the students have been counseled and are having normal classes meanwhile affected students are recieving treatement at the St. Joseph Hospital.”We have done the counseling,we have calmed the place…everybody is in school and they are having normal classes….a few of them taken to the hospital have being reported stable…very soon they will join thier friends in thier various classrooms”.
According reports,affected students were only girls.
