Sod Cut for Construction of Police Complex for Bia East

The Western North Deputy Regional Minister in collaboration with Bia East District Assembly has this morning cut sod for the construction of ultramodern storey building at Sefwi Adabokrom to serve a multipurpose thus police station and quarters to ensure peace and Security in the District.

In a short ceremony held at the proposed site for the complex, Alexander Tetteh said the project is a storey building which when completed will serve as a Police Station and Quarters  to help the Police personnel to discharge their duties diligently.

He advised the Contractor to work harder enough to meet the six months timeline and encouraged chiefs and leadership of the Assembly to keep eyes on the project.

The project according to him will be founded by District Assembly’s Common Fund.

Senior Lindquist at Adabokrom palace Okyeame Asante Snr in his remark charged the contractor to do a perfect job in order to secure more contracts in the district and avoid shoddy work.

Contractor Cum CEO of Yogo Labadini Company Limited, Mr Mohammed Alhasan, assured he will recruit who ever qualifies to help in the project from the district.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr Abdul Karim urged the Contractor to work hard to meet his timeline and also commended the Deputy Regional Minister.

Hon Assembly Member for Sefwi  Adabokrom Electoral Area Hon Philip Nkuah said he will make sure the contractor works perfectly.

The District which was carved the from Bia West district  in 2012 has no building for the Police Command.

The command has been operating from a rented building since 2012.
