I WAS SHOCKED AND DEVASTATED, MAHAMA’S BROTHER COMMENTS OVER HIS BROTHER’S DEATH

Brother of the late Major Maxwell Mahama, Michael Mahama said he was shocked and devastated when he heard the unfortunate news of his brother, Major Maxwell Mahama whose gruesome death by some residents of Diaso in the Central Region has left the country in grief.

Micheal Mahama made this remarks yesterday at the vigil which was held in honour of the Major in the Arakan Mess at Burma Accra.

“I was shocked and devastated. Nobody expects something like this and when you find out or get to know what happened, is, I can’t really explain but it is not a good thing.” Micheal said

Micheal also stated that the family was grateful and thankful to the people of Ghana for the out pour of condolences and support from high profile delegations and the army as well.

“We are very grateful to all the support given from the Ghana Army, family, from friends, and people we don’t even know. I don’t think we could get here without all the support we’ve been receiving from everybody. It has strengthened us and God is in control so we will move forward”. Micheal said

The vigil was used as an opportunity to console the bereaved family and wife of the fallen hero, Barbara Mahama. The two- hour program was attended by hierarchy of the Ghana Armed Forces, government officials and other well-wishers.

He also added that his brother was good, kind, humble, hardworking and full of life.
