Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he hopes his former coach Jose Mourinho can be a success at Manchester United.
The Portuguese striker admits that he still feels a lot for the English club he once played at.
“If that’s what Manchester United want, then I think it’s good,” he said about the coach’s seemingly imminent arrival.
“I hope Mourinho can help Manchester get back to the top – it hurts me to see them how they are at the moment because I still have a place for them in my heart.”
The attacker admits he holds no grudges against his compatriot, saying: “I’m sure one day I’ll hug him.
“You have to know how to forgive, my father taught me not to be resentful.
“In general, we had our problems like anything else in life- like you’d have with your wife or your girlfriend- but if I saw him today there’d be no problems.
“I could train again under Mourinho in the same way that I could train under Ancelotti or Benitez.”
