The Member of Parliament for ayawaso west wuogon Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko has said that former president John Dramani Mahama is a hypocrite for calling a stakeholder consultation on the free S.H.S policy.
Mr. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, said former president John Mahama has no right to suggest a stakeholder consultation on the free S.H.S policy, because he implemented his version of the free S.H.S without any conversations with stakeholders, ”you did not consult anyone when implementing the progressive free S.H.S so why is he demanding now” he added.
“The former president came to parliament in 2013, and said he will do free S.H.S, Mr. President who did you consult? Why didn’t you think it was necessary to have a broad stakeholder conversation”
Hon Agyarko said, he told day student that they (the NDC government) will pay their fee but ended up paying only one-third of the amount.
The former president John Mahama was speaking at a National Democratic Congress Unity walk in Somanya last Saturday,said “the overwhelming challenge facing the NPP government is the free S.H.S programme, which they rushed in implementing it without any stakeholder consultation.

Education Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has stated that, he will prefer his children to study on the floor than to sell by the roadside.
His comments come in reaction to former President John Mahama’s criticism of the Free Senior High Scool policy being implemented by the government.
Mr. Mahama described the policy as rushed.
