PALM WINE TAPPER KILLS WIFE AND SON.
A 46-year-old palm wine tapper has been arrested for allegedly killing his pregnant wife and son. The incident happened at Kokofu, a farming community near Nkaseim in the Asutifi south District in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Kwame Acheampong accused his wife Akua Safia of cheating on him and son Kwabena Asiedu of not being his son. His wife, Akua Safia is 30-years and his son Kwabena Asiedu, 1-year-old.Goaso District Police Commander, ASP Richard Hornuvo has confirmed the incident to Success FM.
He said the incident happened today at 6:30am.He added that the suspect has so far been telling the police his wife is cheating on him. We went to the scene after we received the information, the Police Commander said. His wife was lying in a pool of blood with no head, arm and multiple cuts on her body. For his son his throat was slashed with a knife.
ASP Richard Hornuvo said he was attacked by the town folks and rushed to the Goaso Government Hospital for treatment. According to him bodies of the deceased has been deposited at Goaso Government Hospital awaiting an autopsy. He has now been discharged and in police custody to assist in investigations into the horrifying murder.
