One Dead, Two in coma, 200 injured in Kasoa, Amanfrom Disaster after heavy downpour. 

Residents of Ngleshie Amanfrom near Kasoa in the Ga South Municipality early hours of today experienced a heavy downpour of rain with a severe storm that leads to so many houses having their roofing ripped off including a cluster of schools.
This led to a 38-year-old man meeting his untimely death after he was struck by a thunderstorm, two school children also collapsed in the process with about 200 people also injured by some roofing sheets that were flying through the air.
Deputy Nadmo Co-ordinator for the Ga South Municipal Assembly, Wonder Matthew Jiaggey speaking with Mireku Nyampong confirmed the incidents. He added that those injured has been admitted to the Amanfrom government hospital while the hospital officials wait for the family of the deceased.
He has therefore adviced residents want to put up buildings to be careful with the materials they may use for this disaster is as a result of inferior goods.
On the other hand, pink news in an interview with some of the school children expressed their grievances and appealed to the government to as a matter of urgency maintain the facility before is too late.
Meanwhile, several billboards fell as a result of the storm within the Ga South and Awutu Senya East Municipalities.
The MCE for the Ga South Municipality, Joseph Nyarni, however, embarked on an emergency tour with his RapidResponse Team to assess the impact of the storm and have had all unapproved billboards removed.
