The New Patriotic Party, barely a week after winning the 2016 general elections has called bluff on teacher trainees and lashed them with insults.
A staunch member of the party and a former member of parliament for Asokwa comstituency in an interview on Accra Fm, Maxwell Kofi Jumah was heard lashing members of the Teachers Trainees with insults for giving the president-elect Nana Akufo Addo and his government a hundred days ultimatum to restore the teacher trainees allowances.
“Tell them to give that ultimatum to John Mahama, we don’t have their time….tell them to fuck off. They will not receive anything until people like me Kofi Jumah is no more” He said angrily.
The New Patriotic Party during its campaign made a significant promise to re-install the nurses and teacher trainees allowances which was withdrew and replaced with the students loan by the NDC government.
Most teacher trainees, it is believed had campaigned and voted against President Mahama and the NDC based on a similar comment passed by the outgoing president in Cape Coast when he addresed students after withdrawing the nurses and teacher trainees allowances.
