NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL GRANTED BAIL AFTER SERVING LESS THAN HALF OF HIS JAIL TERM

A notorious criminal, Fuseini Adamu Wala, has been bailed after serving less than half of his one year term imprisonment at Nsawam Maximum Security Prison.

The notorious criminal who calls himself “Namadina”, was convicted to one year jail term for escaping police custody and other offenses such as attempted murder against Sultan Mohammed in the Awoshie A-Lang Zongo and cruelty to animals. Namadina was arraigned before court and was found guilty. He was therefore sentenced on the 21st February, 2019; to serve a year in hard labour at Nsawam by the Circuit Court One in Accra presided over by Justice Aboagye Tannoh.

However, after serving about three months of his jail term, Namadina and his lawyer, Paul Assibi Abariga presented motion for bail to the Koforidua High Court. On the bases of defrauding by false pretense and issues of false cheque, Lady Justice Barbara Ward Acquah granted Namadina a bail with the explanation that Namadina has filed for an appeal.

Surprisingly, despite the claim that he intends to appeal his sentence, Namadina has not filed an appeal neither has he attended any proceedings since his release from jail.
