A business mogul Mr. Chris Valantine Banahene has called on delegates of the National Democratic Congress to elect former president John Dramani Mahama in Saturday’s primaries.

The party is expected to elect its flagbearer ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Speaking exclusively to this reporter, Mr. Banahene who is an established estate developer mentioned that he is endorsing the former president due to the massive infrastructural projects sanctioned by him in Kasoa.

According to the business mogul who is also an indigene oh Odupong Ofaakor, Kasoa saw an unprecedented development under the tenure Former President Mahama which includes the Kasoa Interchange and ancillary works, Ofaakor SHS and an administration block for the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly.

“In fact it is for no reason that I am endorsing the former president but for the fact that his contribution towards the development of Kasoa and its environs is immeasurable. We had an SHS, an Interchange with attached artifacts as well as an administration unit all under Mahama. It is against this background that I am beseeching the party’s delegates to choose him as the flagbearer” he elaborated.

Mr. Banahene also believes that the former president stands a greater chance to secure victory for the NDC.

The NDC’s flagbearer race has seen some of the party’s big shots contesting the former president John Dramani Mahama who lost the 2016 elections to then candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo.
