NCA TO IMPROVE ICT STANDARDIZATION

The National Communication Authority (NCA) in a Stakeholders Sensitisation Workshop on Dealership Licensing has assured dealers, manufactures and importers in electronic communications equipment for a better service in the ICT standardization in the country.

The Acting Director General of NCA, Mr.Joe Anokye has stated that as the world migrates to the 5G space the authority as a stakeholders in the value chain must ensure that these technologies are used responsibly and with caution in order to avoid accidents, injury and to safeguard our critical national infrastructure interest as well as our hard earned investments.

A speech read on his behalf by the deputy director general, Mr Henry Kanor has retreated the fact that NCA standards are essential to ensure that the host of different devices, communication networks and protocols can communicate and work in parallel to deliver services to end users with reliability, affordability and without delay no matter their circumstances which is very critical to consumers.

In conclusion he said the authority will partner key stakeholders including the academia and research institutions, Ghana Standard Authority and the service providers, the NCA’s technical standardization work through TC 24 is helping to realize the vision of a fully-networked society where users expect to be able to access high-speed services anytime, anywhere, over any safe devices.
