MULTITUDE CROWD ATTENDS OBUOBIA’S PEACE CONCERT

The Weija-Gbawe constituency came to a standstill yesterday as a very large crowd made it to a peace concert organized by the NDC’s parliamentary candidate at the constituency, Obuobia Darko Opoku.

Enthusiastically, those who attended the concert sang and shouted praises to God and prayed to ask for the victory and peace from the Lord.

The function drew various artistes and singing groups like Celestine Donkor, Ohemaa Mercy, the Winneba youth choir and many more.

In attendance were chiefs and elders from various communities in the constituency, members of the clergy, party stalwarts and the PPP’s parliamentary candidate.

The atmosphere got electrifying when Ohemaa Mercy and Celestine Donkor mounted the podium to perform their various hit tracks.

Madam Obuobia Darko, speaking at the event urged voters to vote against aspirants who do not preach peace but would only instigate their followers to perpetrate violence.

“Politics is not about violence, it is about bread and butter issues, to wit, what would place food on your table so I entreat you to vote out people who will not preach peace to you” she stated.

Meanwhile, the PPP’s candidate at the constituency, Jessica Manuel who was present at the function had also entreated voters to ensure a peaceful election.
