MAN ARRESTED FOR DEFILEMENT

 

 

 

Foremost, there has been a man arrested for defilement. Kasoa Divisional Police Command, Dovvsu department has arrested a 52-year-old step father Ebenezer Atobi Asante.  He has been charged for reportedly defiling a 10-year old orphan at Kakraba in the Central Region.

According the police, the suspect was dating the victim’s mother for a period of three years. This happened after the victim’s father died unknowingly.

In an interview with Peace News, Seth Mantey the Kasoa Dovvsu Commander, ASP Dories Larye Aggrey said, the victim mother handed the girl to her incoming husband to stay with her.

Speaking, Police says initially they were friends before they become lovers.

Reporting, ASP Dories Larye said, the suspect was sharing the same double bed with the victim.

Sadly, that is where the man took advantage of it and defiled her severally.  As a matter of fact, there has been a man arrested for defilement.

Moreover, the 52-year-old, Ebenezer Atobi Asante, lives at Nyanyano, a town at Kasoa.

As a matter of fact, he was living with Ekua Asantewaa, the victim’s mother, who was his concubine. Man arrested for defilement with long years in jail.

At a point in time, the victim became fed up with the sexual abuse from the step father and  informed  her schools Proprietress about the issue.

However, the Proprietress took a bold step after hearing the story of the victim. She then decided to  quickly report the case to the police station. She reported the case on the 26th of May, 2021.

The man was in no time arrested and put behind bars. He would be made to suffer for the crime caused to the victim.

Adding, the name of the child was not made known, but would reveal the name later. Sexual abuse is one of the crimes which is punishable by law. People who face such acts risk their  human rights.

According to the 1992 constitution, no one is above the law and thereby the law is no respecter of persons.
