Although highlife artiste, KK Fosu, has been missing in action for almost eight years, he is hoping to bounce back with his latest song, I Am Back.
The song recorded by Ephraim features the award-winning rapper, Sarkodie. The two artistes displayed their talents on the song. KK Fosu brags about being the king of highlife music because he has seen it all.
He goes on to say that some people thought he could not come back after a long break but his latest song will prove his enemies wrong.
Sarkodie comes in to rap about KK Fosu having no competitor because he is a genius. According to Sarkodie in the song, Ghanaians are going to miss a lot if KK Fosu decides not to sing again. He gives thumbs up to KK Fosu for paying his dues in highlife music.
The fast tempo I Am Back forms part of songs which will feature on KK Fosu’s album scheduled to be released album in September. The album will feature other prominent artistes such as Samini, Okyeame Kwame and Breezy from the USA.
According to KK Fosu aka Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, he decided to feature these artistes to give listeners an opportunity to have a feel of a variety of music genres. “My I Am Back album is a mixture of Hiplife, Hop Hop, Reggae and Highlife which I believe my fans and Ghanaians as a whole will enjoy” the artiste currently signed onto Event Republic and JDS Entertainment in USA told Showbiz.
Known for songs Anadwo Ye De, Kyire Me, Oga, 6 Oclock among others, KK Fosu began his music career by featuring on the works of established artistes such as Papa Shot, Mr. Borax, Obrafour, Nkasei, Deeba, Obuor, Reggie Rockstone and many others . He teamed up with Samini then Batman and Kokovelli on the Ghana Music Award winning song, Adwen (Suudwe ) which was a big hit.
