The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has distributed streetlights to suburbs within the Kasoa municipality.
This is to aid in the reduction of criminal activities and to ensure proper visibility during night times.
In an interview with the constituency secretary of the NPP, Mr. Michael Mensah, who spearheaded the distribution he said this is part of the MP’s obligation to reduce criminal activities.
“The MP, in her 2012 campaign promised to contribute immensely to the reduction of crime and eradicating darkness is part of that process hence the distribution of these streetlights” He said when he donated one of the streetlights to Pink Fm in the stead of the MP.
He however added that, the constituents should expect more of such good works from the MP who have gained much publicity in the constituency due to her indefatigable and sociable abilities.
