Russia-based defender Jonathan Mensah has returned to his native Ghana to treat an ankle injury he picked up while on international duty.
Mensah, who plays for top-flight side Anzhi Makhachkala, has been given permission by his club to return home to take a herbal remedy.
The Ghana international suffered the setback during his country’s 2-0 defeat to Egypt in a 2018 World Cup qualifier three weeks ago in Alexandria.
