Following President Mahama’s challenge to crash with his main contender in the 2016 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo, presidential nominee of the NPP in a presidential debate, a deputy national organizer of the NDC, Alhaji Madi Jibril, has rated the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) below the belt to organize a presidential debate.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio’s political talkshow, ‘Ebobo Ba’ on Thursday, the youth organizer who stated his agreement with the President on the call of a debate between him and the NPP candidate said “now that the balloting is done I think it is time for such debates and a media house like you is far credible enough to organize such a debate even more than the IEA”
The Institute of Economic Affairs(IEA) is notable for its organization of presidential debates for over the years.
Bawumia Not Mahama’s Size
He however added that President Mahama has failed to respond to statements made by the running mate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, because he is not his size and also not his main contender.
“President Mahama does not respond to Bawumia because he is not his size…he is not his main opponent but rather Nana Addo” He said.
