Hon. francis Xavier Sosu has the right to reject police invitation.

Member of parliament for madina Hon. francis Xavier Sosu of the national democratic congress (NDC) was taken away from church by his party members after an attempt by the police to arrest him.

Mr. Sosu was preaching at the Believers House Of Prayer Ministries in Madina when police personnels in uniform went to arrest his to assist in investigations. Minority chief whip, alhaji Muntaka Mubarak who was around during the incident, took Mr. sosu away.

The police revealed that Mr. sosu declined to avail himself for questioning at the police station when he was invited to aid in the investigation for being involved in a protest against bad roads by his constituents on Monday, october 25th, 2021.

The police service released a statement that stories regarding the police going to arrest Mr. sosu at church are untrue. lawyer Tamakloe stated that the police can only make an arrest wgen the individual is a suspect.

He stated that the police must state clearly if the individual is a suspect or not. it must be  represented clearly. he continued to say that so far as the request to Hon. francis Xavier Sosu was an invitation he had every right to accept or reject.
