The GFA has faced a lot of difficulties following allegations and exposure of corruption that exist deep in the roots of the association over the past days. This ends with a decision made by government to dissolve the association.
This decision made by government hasn’t really gone down well with the members of the GFA. First of all, because GFA is a big organization and has other job opportunities under its supervision many people will lose their jobs when the organization is dissolved. Secondly unless the government of Ghana has it in mind to put another organization in charge of football and its related issues, football will fall apart upon the dissolution of GFA. Hence their prior move to try and convince government to stop the dissolution.
A five member committees which include Mr Kweku Eyiah, Benjamin Nab Eyeson, Kurts Okraku, Isaac Addo and Samuel Opoku Nti have been assigned by the association with the task to convince the government not to dissolve the committee in a meeting with government officials today.
