Courtois keen to satisfy Real Madrid’s goalkeeping urge.

Real Madrid are looking ever-more likely to seek a goalkeeper in the summer transfer market and Thibaut Courtois is hoping to receive the call from Zinedine Zidane.

Although the Belgian is comfortable at Chelsea, having returned to form under an Antonio Conte side that sits atop the Premier League table, there is a personal desire to live in the Spanish capital having spent three years with Atletico Madrid.

The Blues have little reason to sell, however, and certainly won’t advocate any negotiations until Courtois himself makes expressly clear his motivation in exiting Stamford Bridge.

Such a scenario is not too far-fetched given the keeper’s admittance to his teammates that moving to Los Blancos is a dream for him, which has seen talks over a new Chelsea contract stall.

Signed to Conte’s side until June 2019, the 24-year-old is willing to wait until Real come calling and plans on making himself available as soon as that happens, but the LaLiga giants may not be reciprocating that passion.

Also tracking Gianluigi Donnarumma and David De Gea, it’s the Manchester United keeper who remains the priority for Madrid, having almost joined in 2015.
