The District Chief Executive of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, Albert Nkum, has been accused of misappropriating of the District’s funds by some members of the Assembly.
Apart from using the district’s machines to support the campaign of Alhaji Ghanasah, parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress, the DCE has also been accused by the members for blowing a cash of GHC16000.
In an interview on a Pink Fm News, one of the Assembly Members, Henry Thompson, who seemed to be very disgruntled could not fathom why the DCE would use a whooping sum GHC16000 for the renovation of a block meant for Persons with Disabilities.
“We are talking about a two room block, how can you renovate a two room block with GHC1600? He even renovated the building by continuing an already brick-built structure with blocks……He went to the Regional coordinating council to collect earth-moving machines for the shaping of roads and consequently branded them with post ads of Alhaji K Ghansah, parliamentary candidate and subsequently handed them over to him in order to recieve political favor from the people” He said.
However, the DCE, Albert Nkum, when contacted by Pink News for his response took a swipe on this reporter and subjected him to series of insults.

Residents and some Assembly members have described the DCE as pompous and disrespectful.
Meanwhile, the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa, is the most project-deficient district in the Central Region and had just a handful of projects to exhibit during an exhibition of developmental Metropolitan, Municipals and District Assemblies in the Central Region at a recent government for the people forum held at Cape Coast.
