Minister of Roads and Highways, Honorable Kwesi Amoako Atta has cautioned, hawkers and other petty traders to vacate the Tema roundabout area.
Honorable Kwesi Amoako Atta, stated that, is either they leave the Tema roundabout peacefully, or forcefully, since this will help facilitate the construction of a 3-tier interchange at Tema roundabout.
According to the Minister of Roads and Highways, a whooping 54 million dollars 3-tier interchange will be constructed at Tema roundabout to ensure free flow of traffic.
Honorable Kwesi Amoako Atta, indicated that, he will continue to inspect the progress of the 3-tier interchange which is expected to be completed in twenty eight months.
However, he expressed dissastisfaction in the ongoing East Legon road tunnel construction.
The Roads and Highways Minister, hinted that, the work is eight percent complete and its inauguration is in April this year, in effect, he expressed his impression with the quality of work done so far but urges the contractors to speed up in the construction of the East Legon road tunnel.
