With his goal against Newcastle United on Tuesday evening, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has now scored 100 Premier League goals.
After joining City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, Aguero has reached his 100th goal mark after just 147 games, making him the second quickest to reach the landmark, behind Alan Shearer, who did it in 124 matches.
- 74 goals with his right
- 19 goals with his left
- 7 headers.
Since joining the Premier League club, the Argentinian has scored a goal every 107.7 minutes which is the best strike rate in Premier League history.
- 16 doubles
- 5 hat-tricks
- 1 four-goal haul
- 1 five-goal haul
- He is also the first South American player ever to reach 100 goals in England’s top division.
However, the record breaking goal was not enough to help City earn three points, as an equaliser from Vurnon Anita saw the game end 1-1.
