ENTICE SECURITY OFFICERS TO PREVENT ISIS POACH- SECURITY EXPERT

soldiersA security analyst, Mr Sani Adebi has opined that the country should entice security officers with befitting salaries and incentives in order to prevent them from consenting to ISIS’s recruitment poach.
Reacting to the issue of Private Bawah Abdul Rahman, a military officer believed to have links with the ISIS who vanished into thin air whilst he was been transported to the Ghana Military High Command for interrogation and investigations in a Pink Fm News interview, the security expert advised the National Security apparatuses to be extra vigilant and strengthen its intelligent units and sources as Ghana could be attacked by the ISIS.
Answering about whether the officer could have resorted to that decision to join the ISIS due to mouth-watering offers from the latter, the analyst answered in the affirmative and therefore opined that the country purges salaries of security officers at a point that will make them feel contented so that they don’t crave for the available opportunities presented to them by the ISIS.
“The ISIS has a very strong economic background, they could even promise giving heaven, so we need to entice our men, it is very dangerous and worrying to hear that an officer has joined the ISIS” He said.
A few months ago, the national security presented a report to the Education Ministry, warning it about activities of ISIS on the various tertiary institutions, recruiting interested candidates.
In 2015, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and one other joined ISIS.
