The PRO of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), William Boateng has stated that, the recent power outages which have been occurring is not dumsor but rather a slight fault in the systems of the ECG.
Parts of the country have been experiencing rampant power outages with almost the entire country having a blackout on last week Thursday.
Following that outage which’s responsibility was claimed by the Grid Company (GRIDCO), parts of the country have been experiencing outages without any prior notice from the ECG.
But speaking to Kwame Obeng Sarkodie, host of Pink Fm’s morningshow on Monday, William Boateng PRO for ECG stated that the outages could not be termed as dumsor but rather it is as a result of some maintenance works which are been carried out in some parts of the country by the outfit.
He has therefore assured that, the outages will soon be over when the outfit is done with the maintenance.
