The Management and Staff of Universal Merchant Bank, UMB in the country, has opened it’s third centre for businesses in Kasoa in the Central Region.
The vision of UMB Centre for Businesses is delivery of SME Banking Services and to enhance SME Market.
The new branch is to accommodate the vibrant business sector in Kasoa and to leverage on the areas diverse commercial activity.
Speaking at the Launch, Mr. John Awuah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) disclosed that, the UMB Centre for Businesses was created solely to effectively address the needs of the small and medium enterprises (SME) Sector.
He suggested that, the majority of the Ghanaian economy is driven by SME’s, UMB took the decisive and strategic step to establish an independent Centre staffed with banking professionals that understand exactly what SME’s need in order to successfully grow.
According to Mr. Awuah, Kasoa is rapidly growing city with lots of viable businesses and they intend to help further the growth of this dynamic city through the addition of the UMB Centre for Businesses to facilitate acceleration in their growth plan.
He added that, the UMB Centre for Businesses was growth needs of SME’s in a manner that is effectively cumbersome process of accessing credit and adds value to the customers.
On the other hand, Director of Consumer and Business Banking,Mr Kelvin Cain said that, the Bank is on course to transform the Banking experience in Ghana by providing pioneering Banking solutions, such as the UMB Centre for Businesses.
Mr. Cain further attributed that, the Kasoa UMB Centre for Business will further deepen the Bank’s financial inclusion agenda and plays a facilitating role in growing the businesses of SME’s. UMB is a full-service financial institution specializing in customized banking products and services.
