KMA sues Boss FM presenter for failing to obtain permit in Obinim and Okomfo Appiah contest

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has sued the Boss FM presenter, Koo Bawuah Abesiriwa for failing to obtain permit in the spiritual contest he organized for Bishop Daniel Obinim and native doctor, Okomfo Yaw Appiah.

The contest which attracted thousands of people to Kumasi Jubilee Park had Bishop Obinim attending while his competitor failed to show up.

But the KMA say Abesiriwa who initiated the contest ought to have taken permit from the local governing authority but before calling the two spiritualists for business.

On Monday, April 11, 2016, the two spiritualists agreed on the Kumasi-based radio to meet and battle each other over their spiritual prowess.

Obinim is reported to have ordered the 41-year-old fetish priest to come along with a coffin because he won’t leave the event ground alive. The fetish priest also asked the man of God to do as he has ordered.

Each agreed to sleep in the casket for thirty (30) minutes. The one who wakes up alive wins the contest.

But on the day of the contest, Bishop Obinim turned and waited for more than four hours for his competitor to show up only to be told that the native doctor could not make it to the event ground.

In the view of the KMA, Abesiriwa should have first sought permission before staging the contest at the Jubilee Park.

Abesiriwa when contacted by Kasapa 102.3 FM to ascertain the veracity of the news to Akwasi Nsiah that he has heard about the suit but has not been served with a copy.
