Award winning kumawood film director Frank fifi Gharbin popularly known as director one has stated categorically that award scheme Golden movie awards has over the past years not been fair to the kumawood movie industry especially this year’s edition. According to the Black Monkey director, no kumawood actor or actress was nominated in any category and that’s what he doesn’t understand because he believes those in kumawood scenes has under year review worked very hard to earn nominations. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwame Okyere Jnr, he lamented why he was not nominated as the best director “If Golden movie awards is for Accra or Nigerians they should let us know so we don’t bother wasting our time submitting at all, i feel we are been cheated ” he laments.
Frank Gharbin is known best for his movie black monkey which won Van Vicker an award and also got recognized at the Zimbabwean film festival.
