DR. ASIAMAH FAILS TO ATTEND THE HANDING OVER CEREMONY OF DR. FELIX ANYAH

Director of the medical affairs of the Korle-Bu teaching hospital, Dr. Samuel Asiamah has failed to turn up for the handing over service of Dr. Felix Anyah, the former CEO f the hospital.

Dr. Anyah was surprised that Dr. Asiamah did not turn up for the handing over ceremony. He explained that he had met Dr. Asiamah early Monday morning but Dr. Asiamah told him he had a busy schedule that day. Though he was not bothered about his absent he was however looking forward to seeing him to present the handing over note.

Some members of the staff at the Korle-Bu teaching hospital are still in a dilemma as to why Dr. Asiamah was asked to exit his post as the CEO of the hospital. They also raised concerns about the inability of Dr. Asiamah to attend the ceremony.

One of the staff who has been working with the hospital for 15 years said, “I don’t have  strong confidence in the incoming CEO”. She claims that several CEOs have handled the hospital but there have not been any changes in the hospital but Dr. Asiamah has done a lot for the hospital. Another also said he hopes that whatever Dr. Anyah has started will be completed and consolidated by the new administration to help the hospital move to a higher height.

Dr. Anyah, however, spoke on his exit from the hospital addressing that, he is in support of whatever the government does since in life there are times some things do not work in favor of everyone.

During his one year as the CEO of the hospital, Dr. Anyah facilitated the installation of two oxygen plant for the hospital at a cost of 72 thousand Euros and also declined  all allowances and salaries which earned the praise of some staff. Other staff of the hospital encouraged the incoming CEO to emulate him.
