CHOPPING OF HOUSEKEEPING MONEY IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE- POLICE PRO

The Central Regional Police PRO, ASP Mrs. Irene Oppong has cautioned wives against the use of monies meant for housekeeping for purchasing clothes since that could be equated to domestic violence.

Mrs. Irene Opare was speaking on Pink Fm’s ‘Omanbapa Kasa’ on Friday morning and was speaking against child trafficking and general domestic violence.

“Let me also stress that using housekeeping monies on buying clothes and other stuffs is also a form of domestic violence most especially when you do that at the neglect of your child” she said.

The police PRO also admonished the general public to gather courage and report criminals and their activities to the police so that they will be laid upon. But she however, cautioned informants who may carry sensitive and vital information not top disclose that to just any police personnel but rather the various district and divisional commanders.

In terms of logistics, ASP. Irene Oppong called on the general public and philanthropists to support the police in order to strengthen the police very well so that they can combat crime.
