A report stated that the Electoral Commission identified numerous errors in his nomination forms.
The Commission also stated that they will not alter the positions on the ballot papers.
Jean Mensa, the Chair of the Commission, informed the media, “Votes for Madam Akua Donkor will be invalidated.
In light of this, Roman Fada encouraged Ghanaians in a video to make informed voting decisions.
He mentioned that regardless of the disqualification, he was enjoying his fufu—showing a bowl of fufu on camera after the disqualification took place.
On November 4, 2024, the Ghana Freedom Party informed the Electoral Commission about its new presidential candidate following the passing of Akua Donkor.
Before her passing, Akua Donkor appointed Roman Fada as her running mate.
The founder and former Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) passed away at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on Monday, October 28.
