TAKE YOUR STUDIES SERIOUS- OKAI KOI CENTRAL MP TO CHILDREN

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Okai-Koi Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Patrick yaw Boamah, has advised children to take their studies serious to prevent monies spent on them from going wasted.

The MP noted that children are the future leaders of the country and there is therefore the need to guide them on their ways of prosperity.

“I want to urge all of you to endeavor to take your lessons serious and desist from visiting game centres at the expense of your books. Do not think because you are in Abeka, you cannot achieve greater heights in life, rather you are positioned here because you are destined for greatness so make sure you make no time for unnecessary things except your books.” He hinted.

The MP gave this advice when he addressed hundreds of students who benefited from a free senior high school vacation classes organized for students in the constituency. He announced that the initiative was part of his plans of ensuring that quality education engulfed the constituency.

The Okai-Koi Central MP further assured that the initiative would be a persistence one to help promote quality education within the area.

The MP who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation advised the students to take their studies seriously and use this opportunity to redeem themselves. “I employed the services of highly qualified teachers to help students who are on vacation in my constituency through their studies” he stated.

He also seized the opportunity to call on parents to spend heavily in their wards education rather than spending on material items.

One of the beneficiaries of the free vacation classes, Wenatu James, who spoke with this reporter, thanked the MP for his kind gesture, saying that it would go a long way to prevent them from engaging themselves in activities that would go contrary to their education.

Master Wenatu James, who is studying at the Tamale SHS assured the MP that they would exhibit hard work to help them achieve their academic successes in life.
