UK Visa Applications in Ghana Now Managed by VFS Global

From October 22, Ghanaians applying for UK visas must use VFS Global, the new Visa Application Centre (VAC) service provider, replacing TLScontact.

According to an announcement on the UK government’s website, applicants who began the process with TLScontact will now need to complete their applications through VFS Global.

“You will be contacted by email if this change affects you,” the statement assured applicants, emphasizing that the transition will not impact visa decisions, processing times, or fees.

The change aims to enhance service delivery by reducing biometric data collection and application submission times.

“The UK’s global network of VACs is managed by third-party suppliers on behalf of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI),” the statement added.

Marc Owen, UKVI Director for Visa, Status, and Information Services, expressed optimism about the new partnership: “The opening of our new VAC in Ghana marks an exciting milestone in the provision of a world-class UK visa operation, one which will provide important digital innovations and convenience to customers worldwide.”

The new Visa Application Centre is located at the Mezzanine Floor, Grand Oyeeman Building, South Liberation Link, Accra.
