Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces accusations of sexual assault from a former teenage contestant on ‘Making the Band’ and a 10-year-old boy in newly filed lawsuits

Two new civil lawsuits have been brought against Sean “Diddy” Combs by unidentified male plaintiffs who allege they were sexually assaulted by the music mogul during auditions while they were minors, including one individual who asserts he was just 10 years old at the time.

Combs said he denies the latest claims against him in a statement

The contentious musician and businessman, currently in custody in New York while he awaits his criminal trial, is now confronting at least 27 civil lawsuits.

In his lawsuit, John Doe claims that he auditioned for Combs in 2005 at a New York hotel when he was 10 years old. He alleges that Combs provided him with a soda that was contaminated with drugs. The lawsuit further asserts that when Doe attempted to resist, Combs compelled him to perform oral sex. Doe reportedly lost consciousness and later regained awareness in a distressed state, with his pants unfastened and experiencing pain in his anal and buttock areas, as detailed in the lawsuit.

In a different lawsuit, another individual named John Doe asserts that he was 17 years old in or around 2008 when he participated in a three-day audition for the MTV competition series “Making the Band.” Doe alleges that on the first day of the audition, during a personal interview, “Combs posed hypothetical questions to the Plaintiff regarding how he would manage situations involving sexual pressure.

The lawsuit states, “While Combs recounted these situations, he initiated a sexual assault on the Plaintiff by inappropriately touching him, both over and under his clothing. This included groping and fondling the Plaintiff’s genitals, as well as directing him to undress.

The lawsuit claims that Combs highlighted his influence over Doe’s prospects in the music industry, asserting that he had the power to either “make or break” his career.

During the second day of auditions, Combs reportedly instructed the 17-year-old Doe to undress in order to showcase her capacity to portray a “sex idol” persona. The lawsuit claims that this situation ultimately escalated, leading Combs to force the Plaintiff to perform oral sex on him and to engage in sodomy with her.

According to the complaint filed the next day, Combs and his bodyguard allegedly sexually assaulted Doe. Subsequently, he was removed from the competition after Combs asserted that the plaintiff was untrustworthy because of his reluctance to engage in oral sex with his bodyguard, as stated in the lawsuit.

Combs’ lawyers did not address the specific claims made in the two new lawsuits; however, they asserted that Combs has never engaged in sexual assault or trafficking.

As previously stated, Mr. Combs is unable to address every new publicity stunt, especially those claims that are patently absurd or clearly untrue,” his attorneys noted in a statement. “Mr. Combs and his legal team have complete confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial system. Ultimately, the truth will emerge in court: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—regardless of gender or age.

On Monday, two new lawsuits were submitted to the New York state court. Both plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Tony Buzbee and co-counsel Andrew Van Arsdale, who mentioned earlier this month that they are advocating for more than 120 alleged victims preparing to publicly disclose their claims against Combs.

Starting in November 2023, over two dozen civil lawsuits have been brought against Combs, alleging sexual assault or misconduct. The first lawsuit, submitted by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, was resolved the following day. The remaining cases are still ongoing, and Combs has denied all civil allegations.

Federal prosecutors allege that Combs ran a “criminal enterprise” via his business empire, which was involved in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, and years of physical abuse toward women, among other accusations. He has entered a not guilty plea to federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

Combs’ criminal trial is currently scheduled to commence in May 2025.

Prosecutors have stated that their criminal investigation is still in progress, and it is possible that more charges or defendants might be included in a future superseding indictment.
