San Siro given makeover

As the Champions League final on May 28 approaches, the San Siro stadium is receiving alterations to create an extra special occasion in Milan.

The city is preparing for a Spanish invasion as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid face each other for the chance to be crowned Champions of Europe, with several posters and motifs decorating the ground.

Both of the clubs’ official badges will be visible on the stadium as a carnival atmosphere is expected in the Italian capital.

In addition, outside of the city centre the world’s largest mural has been created with several artists adding to the piece that is largely donned with footballing images.

UEFA have also stated that the pitch is now ready for the match between the fierce rivals from the capital, as Real Madrid look to win the trophy for the eleventh time.
