Sammy Gyamfi Urges Mfantseman Residents to Vote Out MP Ophelia Hayford for Better Representation

The National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, has called on the people of Mfantseman in the Central Region to vote against their incumbent MP, Ophelia Hayford, in the 2024 elections.

Speaking during community engagements in Abandze and Kromantse, two fishing communities in the constituency, Gyamfi criticized Hayford’s performance, describing her as a “non-performing MP” who has made little impact in Parliament. He claimed that Hayford’s contributions are limited to voting in favor of government positions, earning her the label of a “yea yea MP.”

Gyami urged voters to elect the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Dr. Prince Kojo Arhin, whom he described as an accomplished HR professional with dynamic leadership qualities. According to Gyamfi, Dr. Arhin will provide effective representation in Parliament and advocate for development in Mfantseman.

The NDC delegation, which included the Minority Leader in Parliament, also responded to a request from the chief of Kromantse regarding a stalled community center project. They donated GH¢10,000 on behalf of NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and assured the chief that an NDC-led government would prioritize the project’s completion.

Gyamfi’s tour of the Central Region forms part of the NDC’s broader campaign to connect with communities and highlight their candidates’ capacity to drive development and represent local interests in Parliament.
