RE-MURDER OF GORMAN AYIFAH FOLLOW UP CASE

On 22/05/2021, about 2030 hours, Police had information that a man has been shot in a house opposite the University of Cape Coast Medical School Hostel on the University campus near the Cape Coast Stadium. The murder case is a follow up investigation on the re-murder of Gorman Ayifah. The story is on the re-murder of Gorman Ayifah follow up case.

Police proceeded to the scene, but the victim had been taken to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, Police proceeded to the hospital, but were told that victim was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctor. The blood was found lying at the mortuary with blood oozing from the left eye.

During examination, the body and gunshot wound was found on the left eye.

After,the body was deposited in the morgue pending further investigation.

The re-murder case is a very trival issue which should be of a major concern to the public. The security of citizens is at risk and thereby creates panic in the minds of Ghanaians. The Security Agencies should wake up and be take action against this issue.

This issue can solved by a collaborative effort of all and sundry in the society.

Moreover, information gathered at the scene of crime by police indicated that the deceased Gorman Ayifah, aged 40, is the Head Teacher at Ansapatu Basic School near Effutu and lives at the place of incident.

About 2000 hours, the deceased returned to his resident in his BMW saloon car with registration number CR 811-W.  As soon as he stopped the car in front of his house,  the unknown assailant shot the victim at the driver,s side and wounded him in the left eye effort being made to arrest the suspects. Investigation is ongoing.

Police intelligence has led to the arrest of one suspect in relation to the above murder case. Suspect is in custody assisting with investigations.
