Security agencies have traced the vehicle used in the November 2 Adabraka jewelry shop robbery to Ashaiman, Greater Accra.
A Toyota Highlander, registration GN 7357-19, was seen fleeing the crime scene and later tracked through key locations including the Sunny FM Roundabout, Shiashie, and Accra Mall, before reaching Ashaiman Zenu.
The robbery, executed by four armed and masked men, unfolded near the busy Adabraka market where a man in a red Toyota Corolla was targeted.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gang fired shots into the air, creating panic and scattering the crowd, before forcing their way into the Toyota and seizing large sacks of cash from the boot.
The police have assured the public they are intensifying efforts to capture the gang, pledging swift justice for those involved in this alarming daylight incident.
