Couple Arrested for Allegedly Burrying Two Year Old Baby Alive At Breman Brakwa

The Breman Asikuma Police arrested couple who allegedly buried their two year old son alive at Breman Brakwa in Central region.

The police arrested couple and continue to look for the priestess who ordered for the child’s burial.  The parents said the fetish priestess ordered them to bury their child alive near a river at the area were they live. The priestess who is currently wanted by the police is a pastor at Gomoa Eshiem of Central region.

Information gathered by pinknews disclosed that, the child has a sickle cell and therefore needs to be buried. The parents named Paul Adoba and Maame Ataa are now in the police custody assisting in the investigations.

The eyewitness, Abubakar Mohammed spoke to pinknews which he said the incident happened on Friday midnight around 12:00am while he was sleeping. He added that, “I heard of people talking so I rushed to the window and saw two people with the priestess digging a grave.” He ran to the place the next morning to found out a two year old child has been buried alive to death. He continued that, “I saw the man digging the grave and the other person was carrying the child” and  later did not see the child which made him believed that the baby had been buried.

Again, some members of the family of the suspects said they were surprised about the actions of the parents. They believe the father to be a good man so they do not know what has come over them. According to the family spokesperson, Justice Bonnam has attributed the actions of the parents as a spiritual problem. He then urged the police to do a massive investigations.

Finally, the Chief of Breman Brakwa, Nana H. K Nkungua during an interview with Kasapa FM news said the parents have committed an abomination to the land. He further emphasized that what they did is unacceptable and therefore should be punished. He later cautioned parents to take very care of their children to avoid any pastor or fetish deceiving them.
