Philippe Coutinho was crowned Liverpool’s Player of the Season for the second consecutive campaign as the midfielder completed a clean sweep during their awards dinner on Thursday night.
Coutinho also won the Performance of the Season for his display against Manchester City in November, Goal of the Season for his solo strike against Manchester United in the Europa League and First Team Player’s Player of the Season – the same four prizes he won last year.
Midfielder Emre Can also picked up a gong on the night as he won the Young Player of the Season award, while youngster Brad Smith won Academy Players’ Player of the Season.
Jurgen Klopp and his first-team squad were at the event in Liverpool, including Daniel Sturridge, captain Jordan Henderson and Andre Wisdom, who has returned following a loan spell at Norwich.
Also in attendance were club chief executive officer Ian Ayre, who is standing down from his position next year.
There was also banned defender Mamadou Sakho and a host of ex-Liverpool stars, including Phil Neal, Jimmy Case and Nigel Spackman.
