Otto Addo Supports GFA President Kurt Okraku’s Fiery Speech Ahead of Sudan Clash

Black Stars coach Otto Addo has backed Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku’s intense speech delivered at a team dinner ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2025 AFCON qualifier against Sudan. Okraku expressed frustration with the team’s lackluster performance in the qualifiers, warning players that those who fail to show commitment could be dropped.

While Okraku’s remarks faced criticism from some fans, Otto Addo defended the comments, stating, “Sometimes you need another person to add their voice to what has already been said.” Addo added that both he and the technical staff had addressed the players similarly.

Ghana will host Sudan in the first leg of the doubleheader today at the Accra Sports Stadium, aiming for their first win in Group F of the qualifying campaign. The return leg is scheduled for October 14 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
