OKAY FM’s Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie “Apologises” To NPP

Okay FM Morning Show host, Kwame Nkrumah ‘Tikesie’ has said “sorry” to the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] – he beseeched the party and its flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to put their differences behind them and forgive him.

A remorseful Tikesie’s apology come in the wake of the NPP’s boycott of two of Despite Group of Companies radio stations – Okay FM and Neat FM – over what the party says is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the NPP’s image and that of its flagbearer.

The NPP on Sunday urged all its communicators to desist from addressing the party’s issue on Tikesie’s show “Ade Akye Abia” on Okay FM and Adakabre Frimpong Manso’s “Mi Man Nti” on Neat FM.

The two presenters have both rendered an apology to the NPP on their respective platforms – but it is unclear yet whether the NPP will rescind its decision.

Kwame Nkrumah ‘Tikesie’ on his show on Wednesday April 6, 2016 said he was deeply sorry for the turn of events.

“We are all working to build our country and not to tarnish anybody’s reputation and so I want to use this opportunity to apologise to the NPP if our actions in one way or the other have affected the party.

“I’m not ready to talk about this issue on radio stations but rather ask for forgiveness so that we can all move on,” he said.

Earlier on in the week, management of the two stations assured the NPP that – the company will try to always exhibit professionalism in the performance of its operations and towards nation building, and further appealed to the opposition party to rescind its decision.
