NSMQ 2019: WHO WINS THE CONTEST AMONG AUGUSCO, BOLGATANGA SHS AND WALEWALE SHS?

The National Science and Maths Quiz of 2019 started yesterday with some schools coming out victorious from their respective groups. The schools that qualified for the next stage of the competition were T.I AMASS, Kumasi and Notre Dame Girls’ SHS of the Brong Ahafo Region on Day 1.

Day 2 of the 2019 NSMQ promises to be a fierce contest among St. Augustine’s College, Bolgatanga SHS and Walewale SHS.

St. Augustine’s College, affectionately called Augusco last won the competition in 2007.The all-boys institution is located in the Central Region of the country.

And since the last time Augusco won the NSMQ, the notable boys’ institution has not made any significant progress in the competition. The school in recent times, even finds it difficult to qualify for the competition.

However, in this year’s NSMQ competition, the school promises to be a huge force to reckon with. The coastal boys are back!

Bolgatanga SHS nicknamed Big Boss has also established itself to be a good institution to compete with in the 2019 NSMQ based on their qualifying rounds prior to this competition. The school is noted to be the pride of the Upper East Region

Walewale SHS also in the Northern Region has also been tasked to prove their mettle in the NSMQ this year. The school however, has no pedigree in the competition.

Today’s competition is one between “heavyweight” St. Augustine’s College and “underdogs” Bolgatanga SHS and Walewale SHS.
