James Kofi Annan, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Effutu Constituency, anticipates a strong NDC showing in the December 7 election, citing multiple research studies that indicate favorable odds for both the party’s parliamentary and presidential races.
However, he expressed concern over the recent registration of non-resident voters, which he believes could skew election projections.
During a three-day tour with NDC Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, Annan emphasized the NDC’s track record of infrastructure development in Winneba and urged constituents to support the party’s return. Confident of securing 55-60% of the vote, he highlighted the support of local constituents and the enthusiasm around Mahama’s visit.
Mahama, speaking to a charged crowd, called for support for the NDC and pledged to make Annan a key figure in his administration if elected.
