Director of Elections and Research for New patriotic Party, Mr. Evans Nimako has remarked that, the government of President Akuffo-Addo will continue to serve the people of Ghana with all the good policies they have.
According to Mr. Nimako, every good policy that comes their way will be implemented, whether it was mentioned by the NDC or any other group, he indicated that, the NDC manifesto has nothing good in it, but if there should be anything that will benefit Ghanaians, the NPP government will implement it.
“NDC will cry, even though their manifesto is not good but NPP will implement any good policy we find in there, because Ghanaians deserve the best from the government. Some of these policies the NDC is mentioning belong to the NPP and we are doing stakeholders consultation to implement them” he said on Pink Fm 96.9 morning show Omanba pa kasa hosted by Kusi Damoah.
Mr. Nimako also expressed that, his party NPP is ready to pay the Presidential and Parliamentary filling fees, proposed by electoral commission for the 2020 general elections. He said that, he disagree with what the NDC is saying about the filling fees, because in 2016 the amount paid in 2012 was increased by 400 percent. Therefore he doesn’t see anything wrong with the 50 percent increment in this year’s filling fees pegged at 100,000 cedis and 10,000 for Presidential and Parliamentary respectively.
The NDC recently launched its 2020 manifesto at University of Professional Studies, the policy document was outdoor by former President John Mahama, who is also the flagbearer of NDC for 2020 Presidential election.
