Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of planning to rig the 2024 elections during the special voting phase on December 2.
Speaking in Otoase, Ayensuano Constituency, during a tour of the Eastern Region, Dr. Omane Boamah reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to a fair election and announced plans to collaborate with security agencies to monitor the voting process closely.
He urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant, especially during the special voting period, which involves security agencies, journalists, and EC officials, to ensure election integrity.
Dr. Omane Boamah also assured the youth that, under John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, the NDC would abolish taxes such as the E-Levy, Emission Tax, Betting Tax, and COVID Tax, shifting Ghana’s economy from heavy taxation to production.
