Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo Addo advises the youth to read.

The first lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs Rebecca Okaikor Akuffo Addo has urged the Ghanaian youth to develop the habit of reading.

Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo Addo made this known during the commissioning of a 40 seated computerized library in Moori in the Central region.

The first lady says in her speech that the library was commissioned so the youth of Moori and its surroundings will make use of the library to enhance their reading and speaking skills.
The library which has been commissioned contains modernized books and computers to help the youth to develop and enjoy the habit of reading.
She added that, most children are unable to read and write because they were not introduced to reading and writing materials in the early stages of their lives.
She also added that, The Rebecca Foundation has built more of such computerized libraries in some regions.

These regions in Dafiama in the upper west region, Seridibiso in the Western North region and Wenchi in the Bono region.
She says that, The Rebecca Foundation has taken it upon itself to provide more of such computerized libraries in various regions .

These regions include Kumawu in the Ashanti region, Krache East ,Oti region and the Achimota school.
